Exhibition on Capitol Hill for US Congress, March 15th and 16th, 2010

The exhibition on Capitol Hill will be held March 15th and 16th.  It will be held in the Rayburn Foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building (click for directions).  The exhibition will be open to the general public from 10am-5pm on both Monday the 15th and Tuesday the 16th.

Rep. Olver, in whose home district the 100 Faces project originated, initiated this exhibition.  With the help of Rep. Olver's office we have arranged special invitations for some members of congress to be honorary co-chairs of this event.

We recieved a great deal of positive response to these invitations for honorary co-chairs.  It is great to see how many of our law makers are ready to take an open and contemplative look at the American experience of war in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Below are the list of honorary co-chairs to this event who have decided to take time to look into the faces of the people pictured here and read what they have to say.

All members of congress will be invited to attend a special reception.

When we created the list of invites for Honorary co-chairs we sought to find a bi-partisan group that had strong interests in the exhibition, either through being from MA (the home state of the project), through being involved in veteran's issues, or through being involved in the arts.

The honorary co-chairs for the exhibition are:

Sen. John Kerry (MA)
Rep. John Olver (MA-01)
Rep. Vic Snyder (AR-02)
Rep. Patrick Murphy (PA-08)
Rep. Tim Walz (MN-1)
Rep. Todd Russell Platts (PA-19)
Rep. Louise M. Slaughter (NY- 28)
Rep. Chet Edwards (TX-17)
Rep. Zach Wamp (TN-3)
Rep. Christopher P. Carney (PA-10)
